In the stillness of the quiet glen at Glengoyne Distillery, patience is rewarded. For every minute other whiskies spend in the stills, whisky at Glengoyne spends three. Only then is it transferred to hand-selected sherry casks that have taken six years to prepare - producing the fruity, complex flavours that can only be the result of an unhurried process. This whisky is perfect after dinner or, frankly, anytime.
Nose: Dark red berries, caramel, toffee, vanilla and a hint of raisins and orange peel.
Palate: Christmas cake, honey, and rich fruit. Perfectly balanced, amazingly full bodied and thick.
Finish: Dry wood, oloroso sherry notes and very gentle cinnamon.
