From high up in the Orkney Islands, off Scotland's northern coast, comes the Highland Park 25yr. A fruity, sweet and fragrant whisky with warm woody spices and a natural deep copper colour, crafted from just 22 casks – ten first-fill sherry seasoned European oak hogsheads, two first-fill sherry seasoned American oak hogsheads, four first-fill sherry seasoned American oak butts, five refill hogsheads and one refill butt. Each cask was hand-selected by the distillation team for its marrying potential, depth of flavour and complex character.
25 years encased in oak has not only created a whisky with impressive depths, but time has delivered a vibrant sweetness too. Renowned whisky writer F. Paul Pacult named it Best Spirit in the World in the 2013 Spirit Journal
Producer's Tasting Notes
Nose: Deeply fragrant on the nose, with notes of peach and satsuma, delicate peat and pistachio biscotti.
Palate: Spicy coriander seeds and oregano mix with gentle heathered Orkney peat.
Finish: Sweet and woody, with a hint of citrus peel.
