The KinGlassie Raw 8 is a limited-edition, heavily peated (50+ ppm) single malt that combines the InchDairnie distillery's natural character with untamed smokiness.
This expression has been matured exclusively in ex-bourbon casks for eight years.
InchDairnie is a Lowland distillery that brings a malt whisky tradition into the modern world.
Built in 2011 on land once occupied by the InchDairnie Estate, the distillery was literally built around the mash filter, which was installed before the walls and roof were built. Innovative techniques allow InchDairnie to distil a variety of grain types and barrel finishes.
Nose: Wet campfire logs, BBQ pineapple and a hint of vanilla.
Palate: A well-balanced cacophony of flavours from smoked bacon to caramelised apples. Damp oak, spice, and citrus zest are also lurking.
Finish: Long, with peppery spiciness and espresso coffee.
