Jack Daniel's Single Barrel
Regular price $75.00
Unbeknownst to many, most of Jack Daniel’s whiskeys meet the criteria required to be called bourbon. After distillation, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey undergoes the ‘Lincoln County Process where the new make spirit is allowed to drip for six days in 10-foot vats, passing through charcoal that was made by burning maple wood that had been impregnated with 140 proof Jack Daniel’s whiskey, before being put in new charred oak barrels. For the single barrel bottlings, the blenders at Jack Daniel’s pull barrels from the upper levels of the rickhouse.
Nose: Familiar JD aromas with a healthy dose of banana bread, caramel, and heavily toasted oak.
Palate: Caramel, toasted oak, and dried banana chips on the front palate with medium sweet notes hitting the mid and back palate.
Finish: Longer finish. Palate flavours carry through with nothing extra on the back end. Very Jack Daniel's but somewhat pallid.
