Kavalan 15 Year Four-Cask Matured

Kavalan Distillery has been pioneering the art of single malt whisky in Yilan County, Taiwan since 2005. Kavalan sources the mineral-rich meltwaters of Snow Mountain and is aged in a unique combination of intense heat and humidity together with sea and mountain breezes. All this combines to create the quality, smoothness, and fruity character for which Kavalan is known. Kavalan takes Yilan County's old name. Kavalan brings together a highly skilled R&D team which takes on the legacy of renowned whisky specialist, the late Dr. Jim Swan. It is backed by King Car Group and its more than 40 years of beverage experience and knowledge.

Introducing Kavalan's inaugural 15-year-old single malt whisky, a tribute to the subtropical essence of Taiwan, inspired by the island's vibrant tropical fruit aromas. Aged in hand-selected ex-Bourbon barrels, Oloroso sherry casks, Ruby port barrels, and Puncheons, this whisky is crafted in small batches to achieve a harmonious blend.

Producer's Tasting Notes

Nose: Aromas of bergamot, lemon, orange, and grapefruit.

Palate: Dried cranberries and raisins, unfolding into velvety notes of dark chocolate gelato and caramel walnut coffee mousse.

Finish: The finish lingers with the comforting warmth of woody cinnamon spice.
