Kurayoshi is a tiny, boutique distillery located in the foothills of Mt, Daisen and is staffed by a small group of passionate whisky artisans. Making use of the resources surrounding the distillery (like Kurayoshi's volcanic-rock-filtered water which is soft, clean and crisp - not to mention neutral in taste) the head distiller aims to deliver the taste whisky aficionados desire. This is very much in keeping with their philosophy of creating "a whisky to be loved by everyone".
Nose: The deep rich, honeyed fragrance of this aged whisky confirms its white oak-aged maturity.
Palate: The sweet taste of honey, along with delicate, savoury vanilla. On the back palate there is a smoky, spicy, complex flavour.
Finish: Short - with herbaceous notes.
