The Lochlea Distillery, an independent, Single Estate, family-run operation in Ayrshire, Scotland, recently unveiled its oldest release to date with the Lochlea 7 Year. This expression, distilled in 2018, marks a milestone in the distillery’s evolution.
Matured exclusively in seven hand-selected 1st fill bourbon casks, this limited edition embodies Lochlea's focus on provenance and quality, delivering a richer and more expressive whisky while maintaining the signature fruit character.
Nose: Crème brûlée, wisps of applesauce and vanilla.
Palate: Mango and papaya, apples and fresh oak spices.
Finish: Flaky pastry, oak spice, tart orchard apples.
