On July 28, 1865, 153 Welsh folk set sail on a ship called Mimosa headed for Patagonia to establish a Welsh colony and preserve their heritage and culture. Today there are 50,000 Welsh decedents and 5000 Welsh speakers.
Number 11 in the Icon of Wales series, The Patagonia is Penderyn's first ever blended malt whisky. This expression was created by marrying Penderyn's single malt with the single malt of the La Alazana distillery located in the Patagonian region of Argentina.
