This expression of Ledaig single malt comes from independent bottler, Signatory Vintage. It was distilled at the Tobermory distillery located on the Island of Mull in September 2005, then matured in a refill sherry butt (cask #900043) for 17 years before being bottled in September 2022 as part of its Cask Strength Collection. Total worldwide outturn: 463 bottles.
Nose: Classic coastal peat, iodine, smoked almonds and a honey.
Palate: A punch of peat smoke leads the way, followed by sweet citrus and more salty coastal notes.
Finish: A long finish where strawberries and raspberries mingle with that west coast medicinal peat smoke.
