Born in Ocean Beach, California, Skrewball’s story is just as unique as the contents of the bottle. Skrewball started from the passion of a bartender and foodie, Steven Yeng who owned a local watering hole. The bar and restaurant - known for its band of misfits, black sheep and Skrewballs - encouraged the community to join the nightly party but more importantly, to support the community when anyone needed a helping hand.
When Yeng first combined two of his favourites (peanut butter and whiskey) to create a most delicious shot, many snubbed their nose at the idea. However, it didn’t take long before it became the bar's signature shot. Soon Yeng teamed up with his wife to create Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey—and to their surprise, ended up creating something even better than the original shot. Grab a glass and release your inner black sheep!
Nose: As you would expect, the aromas are filled with warm peanuts, marshmallow fluff and honey.
Palate: Again, the taste of fresh roasted peanut come first, followed by salted peanut butter caramel pie, milk chocolate, and peanut butter gelato. Even a hint of Butterfinger candy bars and a dash of pepper.
Finish: The finish is long and rich.
