Speyburn is an iconic distillery located in the Granty Glen (valley) opposite the Glen Grant distillery at the northern end of Rothes in the Speyside district of Scotland’s Highlands. The picturesque distillery has been called the most photographed distillery in Scotland. The location was chosen because of its access to the Granty Burn, an unused and unpolluted water source that was believed to produce a superior whisky. The distillery still uses that water source, along with water from the Broad Burn, both major tributaries of the River Spey, for its whisky production.
Nose: Fresh, clean with a hint of lemon.
Palate: Medium bodied with hints of toffee & butterscotch.
Finish: A long, sweet finish.
