The Silkies are legendary creatures, seals that are able to shift shape and become irresistible human-like beings on land.
This expression is a blended Irish whiskey - a combination of double pot still distilled malt, triple pot still distilled malt (that includes a small percentage of peated malt) and column distilled single grain whiskey.
Nose: Freshly baked bread and ginger snaps. Honeycrisp apples with a subtle floral top note.
Palate: Soft mouthfeel with honey and caramel the first to appear. Slightly newmake-y with echoes of buttered popcorn. Apples and bread dough with a very faint hint of smoke.
