Adopting the same complex blend as their Batch 1 and First Cut releases, the Blenders Cut Batch 2 has been left in all its natural beauty. Bottled at cask strength, a whiskey rich in oils and spice with incredible depth. Beautifully balanced for its alcohol content, it has layers of sweet caramel and fig, flickers of campfire smoke, and wood spice. Best described as a muddy whiskey, the heavy oils provide a wonderfully unique drinking experience coupled with a long and unrelenting finish.
Nose: Creme Brulee, caramel and sweet hard candy. Faint lavender honey in the background.
Palate: Hot spice and dark chocolate cake (the El Diablo mix) along with notes of red stone fruit. The mixture of spicy and sweet is heavenly.
Finish: Palate carries through to finish - spicy burnt caramel, stewed fruits and cloves. Left wishing the finish was longer ...
