ORGANIC GAIA 1.2 - Originally scheduled for release only in the Swedish market, a few cases have made their way to Alberta with a very limited amount to Whisky Drop. Here are the observations from Waterford's distillery group's head distiller: Appearance is a deep copper, with unctuous oils – and legs as slow as mine if I made it to mile 26 of a marathon.
Nose: A rose bed after a summer shower, white pepper, rhubarb tart, salted caramel, popcorn, fudge, marshmallows, cherries, vine tomatoes.
Palate: White pepper, orange zest, almond, dates, lemon sherbet, liquorice, gentle maltiness and warm chocolate brownie.
Finish: Warm spices that gently goes to leave a cherry biscuit note.
