This procedure means it can no longer be called a single malt, but it does not alter the flavour in any significant way.
Finished for 2+ years in a first-fill American Oak, Sherry Hogshead.
Distilled 2003; Bottled 2024.
Total worldwide outturn: 217 bottles.
Nose: Buttery apple tart, cinnamon and orange zest.
Palate: Fruit-forward with orange slices, stewed orchard red fruit, and sweet papaya notes.
Finish: Layers of toffee that luxuriously finish with a hint of vanilla.
