Wilderness Trail Single Barrel - Cask Strength

Shane Baker and Dr. Pat Heist founded Wilderness Trail Distillery in Danville, Kentucky, a town locals know as “the City of Firsts.” The state-of-the-art distillery—Danville’s first legal distillery since Prohibition—sits along the Wilderness Trace, a historic region through which the great American explorer Daniel Boone blazed a trail in the 1700s.
Unlike most American whiskeys, Wilderness Trail implements a sweet mash fermentation process using all fresh ingredients for each batch, rather than adding acidic backset (a.k.a. spent grain) from a previous batch.
This expression is a single barrel offering (barrel 758345) and is 4 years old and is presented at true cask strength. Total outturn: 216 bottles.
Mashbill - 64% Corn, 24% Wheat, 12% Malted Barley
